Fellow Wavers,
The FWYC has graciously invited us to be a part of their Meigs Regatta in July. We will have a 3 day format (Fri-Sun) on beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay in FWB. You can bank on a steady 10-17kt seabreeze throughout the event. There will be more information coming out from the FWYC RC Chairman so stand by! For those of you who like to come in a little early, we might be able to entertain a practice day on Thursday, July 7th.
If you have questions about the race, please post them here so I can collect and send to the right parties within the club. Being it is July, I would use your search engines to find the best places to stay at your earliest convenience. Sunscreen and your favorite hydration products are a must!

I'm trying to get the FWYC to post the NOR on Regatta Network. In the past, they have used another source. Stay tuned!! We will have our own race course and likely share it with a few Wetas. Fri-Sat-Sun racing.

Hello all!
I spoke with the FWYC Race Chairman yesterday. He and Doug have been wrapping up with the NOR and it will be posted very soon on Regatta Network. I'm really looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones! See y'all soon.

FWC Wavers,
If this event is on your calendar, please register as soon as you can. We are looking for 5-7 boats or we may not be a sanctioned FWC regatta with low turnout. The FWYC is bending over backwards for us to sail on Friday and make it a 3 day event for the class. RVs are welcome as is tent camping. If you are bringing a RV, let me know the length so we can accommodate your rig.
Please, please, please register!
Thanks, Bob

Wavers, I'm posting to inform all who were thinking about attending this event that we have not reached the critical number of registrants to have a 3 day sanctioned FWC event. The FWYC has reached out to Doug to also let everyone know of this decision. However, we can still sail as a Wave fleet in the regatta using the 2 day format. We can register as a Wave fleet and sail on the Open Course with RS Aeros and Wetas sharing the course. Hopefully, gas and accommodation expenses will be cheaper next year. Thank you for those who did register and I hope you register and sail with us on 9-10 July! Respectfully, Bob Curry Copy of the Meigs NOR. Note the camping info bolded in Red. www.nextsailor.com/app/page/regatta/2552022 Meigs NOR.pdf (145.54 KB)

YAY!!!
We now have 6 boats registered for the SANCTIONED event with a 2 day format. Are there anymore FWC sailors willing to test themselves on Choctawhatchee Bay? I'll be there on Friday if there is anyone willing to test and tune.
See y'all there, Bob

The 2022 Emerald Coast Regional is in the books! We had 7 FWC Waves sailing on the course over the weekend. Saturday winds were in the 8-14 range and Sunday was quite a bit lighter and shiftier around 6-8. Everyone had a blast!!! Thanks to Jane, Jeff, and Roland for making the trek to the FWYC. .
